The son of a Pastor, Jon has had the opportunity to experience serving the church in nearly every area. With 4 years prior experience as a youth pastor, seeing young people become radically changed and on fire for God is his first passion. Leading worship for 6 years, his second passion is bringing people of all ages into God’s presence. Advancing the kingdom through missions is one of Jon’s strongest beliefs, with one of his life goals being to work as a missionary overseas.
When he’s not working, being the LIFE of the party and having good, clean fun is where you’ll find Jon. He enjoys the outdoors, extreme sports that involve speed (hopefully being somewhat safe), playing ultimate Frisbee, soccer and volleyball. What Jon is most looking forward to as the newest member of the team is, in his words “whooping up on all the old guys in church softball games.” Jon is a welcome member of the Southpark staff, and according to his pastor, has a lot to learn about old guys.
